Absolutely. In fact, some of the most impactful coaching work happens with managers who are past the initial chaos of the role and ready to lead more intentionally. Does my company need to be involved or pay for this?+
Not at all. Many clients engage independently — investing in their own development outside of what their company provides. That said, some employers will cover coaching as part of a professional development budget. We're happy to provide documentation or invoicing that supports reimbursement requests if that's applicable to you.

We are not therapists, life coaches, or career placement services. We don't provide technical skills training, HR consulting, or organizational development services. If that's what you need, we're happy to point you in the right direction — but our lane is front-line leadership, and we stay in it.

About Nikki

I didn't start my career in a boardroom —
I started it in a classroom.

Nikki — FirstLine Leadership

I spent five years teaching chemistry to high schoolers and coaching varsity sports teams to district championships. That experience gave me something no MBA could — a deep, firsthand understanding that great leadership happens at the front line — one conversation, one person, one decision at a time.

At this time, I invested in myself by obtaining a masters degree in Strategic Intelligence. This enabled me to have a higher-level strategic vision which catapulted my growth. From here, I built a decade-long career leading high-performing teams across some of the fastest-growing tech and SaaS companies in the industry, ultimately reaching the VP level as Head of Presales and Partnerships. I've personally hired, developed, and mentored first and second-line managers across multiple organizations, including international partners. I'm proud of what I've built, but I didn't do it alone, and I certainly didn't do it without making mistakes along the way.

Here's what I know to be true: being promoted into a management title isn't hard. Learning to become a good leader is. It takes time, reflection, and refinement, and more than anything, it takes coaching and mentorship from people who genuinely believe in your growth. I've been lucky enough to have those people in my corner, and it has made all the difference.

I'm also a mother to a spirited four-year-old, and I won't pretend that building a thriving career while raising a growing family is easy. It's one of the hardest things I've ever done. But it's also taught me more about prioritization, resilience, and intentional leadership than any role title ever could. I believe a fulfilling career and a full life don't have to be in competition, but it takes clarity and intention to build both.

That's why I founded FirstLine Leadership. My practice is built for high-performing individual contributors standing at the crossroads of the management decision, and for first and second-line managers who are ready to lead with confidence — not just competence. I'm not here to hand you a playbook. I'm here to chart your path and help you define the leader you already are.
